Job Title: Club Manager

Reports To: District Manager

Status: Full Time / Supervisor / Exempt / Non-Exempt

Responsible for oversight of gym operations to ensure a positive member experience and a financially successful club.

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise team members.
• Ensure member service standards by overseeing team member interactions and providing coaching and counseling to achieve company standards.
• Participate in front desk activities: greeting and welcoming members, providing gym tours, resolving member service issues, and assisting members.
• Support team members and club members in all operational tasks.
• Create and maintain a positive image for the club.
• Ensure prompt opening and closing of the gym and that the club is open and adequately staffed during all hours of business.
• Ensure staff are trained on current marketing promotions.
• Complete the manager portion of onboarding in Paycom for all new hires.
• Order supplies and track inventory.
• Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors and other departments to increase productivity and prevent misunderstandings.

• Customer Service: communicate and interact with customers, coworkers and the public in a way that exceeds their wants and needs.
• Listening: actively listen to customers, empathize with their perspective and work together to solve problems.
• Problem Solving: recognize and define problems, analyze relevant information, encourage alternative solutions and plan to resolve situations, seeking additional assistance when needed.
• Diplomacy: demonstrate tact and skill in all interactions using appropriate behavior and language.
• Communication: maintain timely and effective communication with staff, supervisors, and various departments.

• Honesty and good work ethic.
• At least 1 year of equivalent managerial experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

• Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift.
• Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs less than 30% of the time.
