Own the market. Lead the team. Build the relationships. Grow the business.

Due to internal growth, we are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our Fargo, ND operation and help grow our presence in the market. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who understands commercial design-build construction, knows how to build strong client relationships, and can successfully balance business development with operational execution.

You will have the opportunity to lead a team, continue developing the market, strengthen client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.

This is a great opportunity for a construction leader who wants ownership of a market and the ability to make things happen.

The Person We’re Looking For

You don’t have to fit neatly into a "sales" or "operations" box.

You’re someone who can walk into a customer meeting in the morning, work through a project issue with a PM in the afternoon, review the office’s financial performance, and finish the day thinking about where the next opportunity is coming from.

You are:

  • A relationship builder who earns trust with customers and employees.
  • A business leader who understands how decisions impact the bottom line.
  • A construction professional who knows what it takes to successfully deliver a project.
  • A growth-minded leader who sees opportunities rather than waiting for them.
  • An accountable leader who sets expectations and follows through.
  • A team builder who develops people and creates an environment where good people want to stay.
  • A problem solver who can navigate challenges without losing sight of the bigger picture.
What You’ll Do Lead the Fargo Operation
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the Fargo field and office team.
  • Build and maintain a strong team culture focused on safety, quality, customer service, and results.
  • Coach, develop, and retain project management, estimating, service, and operational talent.
  • Partner with company leadership to establish and execute annual business goals.
  • Monitor office performance, workload, staffing, and financial results.
Drive Business Development & Growth
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the Fargo market.
  • Build relationships with owners, developers, architects, brokers, property managers, and other commercial construction partners.
  • Identify new opportunities and develop relationships that lead to profitable projects.
  • Participate in networking, industry events, customer meetings, and community activities.
  • Work closely with estimating and project teams to develop winning proposals and pursue the right opportunities.
  • Understand the market, competitors, customers, and opportunities for continued growth.
Oversee Construction & Service Operations
  • Provide leadership and oversight for commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the customer’s expectations.
  • Provide leadership for service operations, including customer relationships, responsiveness, and profitability.
  • Identify operational issues early and work with the team to develop solutions.
  • Establish consistent processes and accountability across construction and service activities.
Lead Through Financial & Operational Accountability
  • Understand and manage the financial performance of the Fargo operation.
  • Monitor project and service profitability, backlog, revenue, and other key business metrics.
  • Hold teams accountable for budgets, productivity, schedules, and margins.
  • Make sound decisions about staffing, resources, workload, and opportunities.
  • Balance growth with disciplined project…
