Job Title:
Electronics Test Technician (2nd Shift)

Location:
Fargo, ND

Duration: 24+ Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension)

Shift: 1st Shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM)

Job Description:

We are seeking a hands‑on Electronics Test Technician to support production readiness by testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic products in a manufacturing/lab environment. This is an onsite role requiring strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing of electronic assemblies and document results
  • Set up and operate lab and test equipment per engineering instructions
  • Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical issues to identify root cause
  • Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and engineering documentation
  • Maintain accurate product records and test documentation
  • Perform routine maintenance on test equipment and products
  • Support production readiness and quality objectives
  • Follow all safety requirements, including use of metatarsal safety footwear

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics, two-year technical diploma, equivalent military training, or equivalent hands‑on experience
  • Minimum 1 year of related technical experience (manufacturing, lab, or field)
  • Ability to work onsite from day one
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) and train on 1st shift as required
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and technical documentation
  • Proficiency with basic computer tools (PCs, spreadsheets, word processing)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of related experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    Electronics or electrical systems, Electrical or electrician work, Automotive (on‑road or off‑road) repair, Communication or networking hardware, Robotics, automation, or mechatronics, Agricultural or farming equipment maintenance
  • Experience using test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and electronic components
