Seamstress/Tailor Job Description

We are seeking a talented Tailor/Seamstress to handle sewing, repairing, and alterations on a wide range of clothing items. You will work with custom measurements and details provided, and collaborate with customers to determine the best methods for their needs. Your work will involve hand sewing, regular machine sewing, and blind stitching on various garments, including pants, shirts, jeans, suits, and polos.

• Sewing, repairing, and altering clothing
• Collaborating with customers to determine the best alteration methods
• Performing hand sewing, regular sewing, and blind stitching
• Working with a variety of garments including pants, shirts, jeans, suits, and polos
• Pant hemming and waist sizing
• Tapering pants and shirts
• Taking in or letting out jackets
• Lengthening or shortening sleeves

• Proficient sewing skills
• Experience using a sewing machine
• Strong hand dexterity
• Familiarity with tape measures
• Ability to perform alterations

• Experience in customer interaction for custom garment alterations

You will have your own work room/station located in a back room, ensuring a professional atmosphere while being visible to customers. Although you will generally work alone, you will collaborate with other employees and managers to prioritize tasks and meet customer needs. The work schedule has some flexibility, with preferred hours from Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6/7 PM. Fridays and Saturdays are typically the busiest days.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fargo,ND.
