Outdoor Forklift Operator​/Yard WORKER -Fargo

Position: OUTDOOR FORKLIFT OPERATOR/YARD WORKER -Fargo
Prinsco has an opening for a Yard Worker/ Outdoor Forklift Operator. This position offers $21.00/hr, a full benefit package with medical, dental, vision and 401k with a company match.

This is a great opportunity to learn and grow in a safe manufacturing environment, including:

• Completing a maintenance inspection of assigned forklift at the start of shift in order to handle all shipping and receiving of products in the safest, most efficient, manner possible.

• Accepting load sheets from the dispatcher, coordinating the proper trailer/tractor to use, and transporting all finished goods by forklift to their proper place.

• Informing dispatch or mechanic of any mechanical, electrical, or structural defects found on any equipment.

We require the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required or in the process of completion and a minimum of three months' work experience.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Forklift experience preferred with the ability to achieve a forklift certification.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds consistently, 50 pounds 1/3 of the day, & 75 pounds less than 1/3 of the day.

• Using hands and reaching with hands/arms for over 2/3 of the workday.

• Requires standing and walking for the majority of the workday. Additional physical movements such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required occasionally.

• Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate colors.

• Ability to work in a production environment that is not temperature controlled and occasionally in varying outdoor weather conditions.

• Ability to work in a loud noise environment.
