Description
We are looking for a full time Warehouse Specialist to support our growing company. The Warehouse Specialist position paid hourly, rate DOE.
Space Age Synthetics is a manufacturer of fiberglass reinforced polyurethane boards. Our products are shipped around the world and used in many industries where moisture would be an issue for traditional plywood, such as marine, bus, and flooring. Our most visible product is our Ice Cap® ice arena flooring. This product is used in over 300 hockey arenas around the world, allowing those arenas to host concerts, trade shows, etc.,
without removing the ice.
Performs other work related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh school education and technical training or equivalent experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENTThe position has typical manufacturing shop working conditions, to include the presence of large machinery, elevated noise levels, and continuous manufacturing process activity. The job requires sustained mental effort related to technical areas and physical activity.
There is sustained exposure to standing and could be occasional moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), or heavy lifting (75+ pounds), and other environmental conditions normally present in a modern manufacturing plant.

- Interpret Work Order Origination Form to complete packaging and shipment to customers' specifications
- Inspect product for weight, thickness, dimensions, product type, and physical appearance in order to ensure product meets SAS quality standards and customer requirements.
- Insure all kitting and product assembly processes are completed to customer specifications.
- Loading and unloading of Space Age product or raw materials.
- Operator of forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed.
- Complete work orders completely and ensure all information entered is accurate.
- Maintain productivity at a level that achieves schedule completion and maintains quality.
- Maintain equipment in proper operating condition in regards to PMP, housekeeping, and greasing.
- Assure proper flow of materials through the Department in the absence of the Production Supervisor.
- Some PC work required, must be able to enter measurements and activity into database
- Complete all safety training programs and score within SAS standard requirements.
- Participate in Committees as requested. Safety Committee, Quality Circles, EAC etc.
- Alert Production Supervisor of any Safety Concerns.
