Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Mechanical Assembler to join a dynamic production team. In this hands‑on role, you will assemble and fabricate mechanical parts, components, and products using a variety of hand and power tools. You will work from technical drawings and schematics to build industrial paint spraying equipment and related assemblies, ensuring each product meets approved specifications and quality standards in a fast‑paced shop environment.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand assembly requirements and specifications.
  • Assemble mechanical components accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently to meet approved specifications and production targets.
  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery to perform mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Build industrial paint spraying equipment and related assemblies in an assembly shop and on an assembly line as needed.
  • Perform inspections on assembled products to verify they meet established quality standards and functional requirements.
  • Identify and report any defects, inconsistencies, or issues in parts, assemblies, or processes to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Assist with general labor and production tasks in the shop and warehouse areas as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all shop and warehouse procedures.
  • Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while meeting production schedules and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members and support a positive, productive work atmosphere.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, production, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge, with the ability to understand how components fit and function together.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measuring, fitting, and assembling components.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain productivity in a fast‑paced shop environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and general labor tasks is beneficial.
  • Physical ability to stand on feet for 8–10 hours each day.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, construction, or electronics concepts is helpful for assembly tasks.
  • Comfort working on an assembly line and following standardized processes and procedures.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus and may be used to support warehouse and production activities.
  • Experience working in mechanical, construction, or electronics environments is an advantage.
  • Background in inspection or quality checks on mechanical assemblies is beneficial.
  • Ability to work with industrial equipment and tools in a shop setting.
  • Interest in hands‑on work, building, and precision‑focused tasks.
  • Willingness to perform general labor duties to support overall production needs.

Environment

This role is based in a shop setting, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will operate in a production and assembly environment where industrial paint spraying equipment and related mechanical products are built. The work can be physically demanding, requiring standing for most of the shift and lifting up to 50 pounds. Conditions may be dirty at times due to the nature of shop and production work, and you will regularly use hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.
