Job Overview
Bailey's Automotive Services is looking for an experienced Automotive Collision Painter who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes. The ideal candidate has an eye for color, pays attention to detail, and works efficiently while maintaining OEM-quality standards.
You will be responsible for preparing, mixing, matching, and applying automotive paint while working closely with our production team to ensure vehicles are repaired safely and correctly.
Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of automotive collision painting experience
- Minimum 2 years of automotive refinishing experience
- Ability to accurately color match and blend adjacent panels
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, dependable, and honest
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Own tools or ability to obtain required tools
- Prepare vehicles and panels for paint
- Mix and match paint colors
- Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat
- Blend adjacent panels for seamless color matches
- Perform buffing and polishing as needed
- Repair minor plastic components when necessary
- Perform other services as needed or when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow OEM repair procedures and paint manufacturer recommendations
- Communicate effectively with estimators, body technicians, and management
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets Bailey's quality standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and bend throughout the workday
- Lift up to 45 pounds
- Work safely around paint materials, tools, and equipment
