About the Role:
The Laser Machine Operator on the 2nd shift plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining laser cutting and engraving machinery to produce high-quality components and products. This position requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that all parts meet strict specifications and quality standards. The operator will be responsible for setting up machines, loading materials, monitoring the cutting process, and making necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
Additionally, the role involves routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Ultimately, the Laser Machine Operator contributes to the overall success of the production team by ensuring timely and accurate completion of laser-cut parts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating laser cutting or machine operating experience is required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with laser safety standards and protocols.
- Basic computer skills for operating machine interfaces and logging production data.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on laser equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
- Load raw materials and secure them properly to ensure accurate cutting and engraving.
- Monitor machine operation continuously to detect and resolve any issues or defects during the cutting process.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and report any deviations or defects to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate production records and document any machine malfunctions or maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
