Welders

This position will be responsible for applying appropriate welding processes to join, fabricate, and repair material to create a variety of parts. The welder is responsible to operate and maintain welding tools and equipment in a safe and accurate manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company.

• Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products
• Ability to fabricate simple structural and tank products with minimal supervision
• Ability to fabricate moderately complex items with supervision
• Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric)
• Effective operate common layout tools
• Operate forklift as needed
• Operate and understand proper lifting and rigging techniques
• Follow all company safety and quality requirements
• Perform all other duties as required by management

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• 1-2 years of welding experience (Preferred)

• Must know how to read blueprints, shop drawings, and tape measure
  • Receives work orders and prints and use shop calculations/math if necessary; works from complex drawings, prints, templates, and specifications
  • Interpret and apply shop drawing information, including weld symbol designations, with limited assistance
• Excellent skills in Math
• Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance
• General knowledge of equipment and operations including shears, press brakes, plasma cutting operation, sandblasting, flanging, rolling equipment, drills, and forklift as needed
• Ability to operate and understand overhead hoist operation and proper lifting and rigging techniques
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate and understand both written and verbal instructions in English
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work well alone and with others
• Ability to work safely and accurately

• Capacity to bend, sit, stand, and stoop for periods during normal job duties as required
• Ability to work in a noisy environment.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing.
