Role Description

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based at KVLY-TV in Fargo, ND. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns to support station programming, promotions, and client advertising initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include managing social media channels, developing online marketing strategies, creating and scheduling digital content, and monitoring campaign performance using web analytics tools. The specialist will collaborate with sales, news, and creative teams to align messaging, ensure brand consistency, and identify new opportunities for audience growth and engagement.

The role also involves preparing reports, presenting insights, and making data-driven recommendations to improve reach, engagement, and conversion across digital platforms.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Digital Marketing and Online Marketing to plan, execute, and optimize cross-channel campaigns.
  • Experience with Social Media Marketing, including content planning, posting, and community engagement on major platforms.
  • Proficiency in Web Analytics for tracking performance metrics, interpreting data, and generating actionable insights.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Familiarity with SEO, SEM, and email marketing platforms is beneficial.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced broadcast environment.
  • Comfort with basic design or content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
