American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fargo, North Dakota.
Job Description & RequirementsAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro position in an acute Level 1 trauma setting, requiring an ND or compact RN license and the ability to work rotating shifts.

- Work in an acute care Med/Surg Neuro unit with 32 beds
- Care for both medical-surgical and neuro patients
- Level 1 trauma hospital environment
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 4-5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
- Rotating 12‑hour day and night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
- Floats required to any Med/Surg unit across multiple hospital locations in Fargo
- Uses Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
- Responsible for assessments, documentation, administering medications, and completing nursing tasks
- Must badge in and out at facility
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Self‑scheduling allowed, but scheduling may be adjusted to meet unit needs and minimize frequent flip between day and night shifts
- Candidates with prior employment at the health system must have an end date at least 6 months before consideration
- Candidates living 60‑80 miles from the facility will be considered at a reduced travel rate
- Active ND or compact RN license
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience in a large hospital with 250+ beds
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Neuro experience preferred but not required
- Cannot consider travelers living within a 60‑mile radius of the facility
