The VA Midwest Health Care Network advocates for a Whole Health System of care in each of the Medical Centers. Pay:

The Pain RN plans, integrates, implements, modifies, and evaluates nursing care for Veteran patients in the pain clinic. Responsibilities include clinical leadership, collaborating with PACT clinicians, training, liaising with internal/external providers, and managing veteran care transitions. The role involves program development, process improvement, compliance with VHA guidelines, and participation in strategic planning.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Plan, integrate, implement, modify, and evaluate nursing care for Veteran patients in the pain clinic.
* Provide clinical leadership and expertise to ensure effective processes and adherence to regulations.
* Collaborate with Patient-Aligned Care Team (PACT) clinicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality care.
* Provide training and education to clinical and administrative staff, Veterans, and families regarding pain management resources, programs, and treatment modalities.
* Serve as a liaison to internal and external providers to ensure seamless care transitions for Veterans.
* Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of pain programs and services.
* Engage in process improvement projects and initiatives to enhance pain management services.
* Ensure compliance with VHA guidelines, evidence-based standards of care, and local policies.
* Serve on relevant committees, such as the Pain Committee, and participate in national, VISN, and local meetings.
* Engage in strategic planning to align pain management program goals with facility, VISN, and national objectives, advocating for policy and program development.
