Position
Registered Nurse – Center for Biobehavioral Research, Amber Valley, Fargo, ND. Full time. 8‑hour day shifts. 40 hours per week. Salary $27.50–$44.00.
Responsibilities- Aid research study participants with data collection, scheduling, screening and laboratory draws.
- Conduct clinical patient contact, research study coordination and data management.
- Organize complex components of clinical trials, including test ordering, procedure scheduling and insurance pre‑authorization when applicable.
- Perform patient assessment for adverse events and study‑related procedures (injections, phlebotomy, infusions) per research protocol and state scope of practice.
- Adhere to institutional, state and federal regulations and established research protocols; collaborate with physician investigators to ensure safe investigational treatment or intervention and follow‑up.
- Attend investigator meetings, coordinate pre‑study site visits, monitor enrollment goals and modify recruitment plans as needed.
- Ensure completion of screening, eligibility and enrollment procedures.
- Work with pharmacy to dispense study articles and provide subject education.
- Clarify questions and concerns with investigators and sponsors regarding enrollment goals, sponsor expectations and study procedures.
- Review inclusion/exclusion criteria and study protocol, informed consent form, and follow‑up procedures with potential subjects.
- Schedule subjects for follow‑up visits, review diaries and questionnaires, ensure specimen collection, batching and shipping.
- Document and maintain all study‑related procedures, processes and events; record accurate data.
- Prepare case report forms and source documents; abstract data from medical records and referrals.
- Communicate with IRB, sponsor representatives, subjects and the research team.
- Occasional local travel between sites and student supervision may be required.
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA preferred).
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the state board where nursing is practiced, or multistate licensure if in a NLC state.
- Obtains and maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
