We are seeking a Dental/Surgical Assistant to join our team. In this role you will provide outstanding patient-centered care in the clinic and assist in a variety of surgical cases including dental extractions, traumas, corrective jaw surgery, TMJ, head and neck cancer, and cleft palate surgery.

Clinic

Hours:

7:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Operating Room Days: 6:30 am – 5 pm. No holidays, no weekends, no call duties.

Assists operating surgeons in carrying out technical surgical procedures in accordance with applicable safety laws and regulations. Assists with intra-operative procedures such as homeostasis, exposure, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions to help the surgeon perform a safe procedure with optimal results for the patient. Develops specialized preoperative plans in coordination with appropriate surgeons and health team members. Prepares surgical tools and equipment, takes preventative measures to ensure applicable health and safety regulations are satisfied, and assists with patient positioning when necessary.

Administers preoperative medications and communicates patient responses to assigned surgeons and anesthesiologists.

• A registered Dental Assistant in North Dakota
• Certification (or eligibility to obtain) from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) within one year of hire
