Sanford Health – 7CD Hybrid Unit (Medical/Surgical & Mental Health) – Registered Nurse (Day shift)

Salary Range: $34,000 - $48,000 per year

Sign on bonus available to eligible candidates

Hybrid unit: half regular medical/surgical; half locked and surveilled for patient admissions to the Mental Health Unit. Provides care for diverse patient populations including alcohol detox, suicidal ideation, overdose, bipolar, schizophrenia. Patients are discharged to home or residential treatment centers.

• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and appropriate age and population-specific standards.
• Provide care in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients move along the continuum of care.
• Plan, coordinate care, perform patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various nursing interventions.
• Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules of the state.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA).
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing in the relevant state or possesses multistate licensure under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
