Role Overview

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda, will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Physician.

• Determine donor eligibility and manage donor adverse events.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Conduct informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, and blood testing.
• Review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Assist in developing Center Physician's standing orders and coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs with unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine when further evaluation by occupational health/ER is required.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or recognized nursing program equivalent, licensed or certified in the state of assignment (LPN or LVN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State‑level requirement for basic IV therapy.
• Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two (2) years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Location:

USA – ND – Fargo. Hourly wage range: $25.60 – $35.20.
