Large hospital experience - 250 plus beds with level 1 trauma status
Experience working in acute facility with 25 or more OR suites.
Circulating nurses who will document and care for patients in the operative setting. This included sterile prepping of surgical sites, catheter insertion, opening sterile supplies, postioning patients for surgical procedures, documenting within an electronic record, and utilizing/ setting up operating room equipment as directed. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Computerized charting modeling after the EPIC system, Accudose, cautery, lasers, laparscopic equipment, arthoscopy equipment, Stealth navigation for Nuero cases.
Required skills and minimum years of experience. Experience with General surgical cases, GYN, Urology, laparoscopic. Neuro/Ortho procedures, experience with navigation. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. BLS, RN ND or Compact license Shift or schedule requirements. Shifts will rotate between 06:30-15:00, 09:00-17:00, 11:00-19:00, and call shifts which are 11:00-19:00 with call to follow. No nights or weekend call. Travelers are expected to run a room with resources available.
Floating to over units/departments. To serve multiple campuses in the Fargo system supporting 33 operating rooms. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 1 to 1 Dress Code: surgical attire provided Additional Comments:
