ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, the Dialysis Registered Nurse (or Charge Nurse) is responsible for using the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the unit. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and providing patient care, interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post‑hospitalization, accessing community resources, and performing other duties such as Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
Dialysis Nurses oversee dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.
Qualifications- RN license in the state you are applying.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification (preferred initially, required after 90 days; required from day 1 for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU).
- Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) preferred but not required.
