Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to patients across the continuum of care.

• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, employing age- and population-specific standards as designated in the clinical setting.
• Provide patient care in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up.
• Plan and coordinate care, conduct patient assessment, deliver patient education, triage and perform various nursing interventions.
• Act within the scope and standards of nursing practice outlined by the Nurse Practice Act and state administrative rules.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• At least one year of RN experience and at least six months of travel experience.
• Live at least 60 miles from the assigned location.
• Hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs or possess multistate licensure under the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

• Salary range: $2,758.
• 12‑hour day shifts; 36 scheduled weekly hours; weekly pay with stipend included.
• Contracts of 14 weeks with the option to extend or transfer to another Sanford site.
