Job Summary
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Unit
The 24‑bed pediatric unit provides comprehensive care to children of all ages with acute and chronic conditions. The unit offers specialized programs including sedation, brain injury, oncology, and trauma care, and is staffed 24/7 by a pediatric hospitalist and nurse practitioners.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $34.00 – $48.00 per hour
Sign‑on bonus: Available to eligible applicants
Schedule: Rotating shift, 28 weekly hours
- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver individualized nursing care.
- Collaborate with physicians and inter‑professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up across all patient care phases.
- Lead planning and coordination of care, including patient assessment, education, triage, and various nursing interventions.
- Operate within the scope and standards of nursing practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act, state regulations, and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA).
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- Current, unencumbered RN license with the state board of nursing where practice occurs; multistate licensure accepted if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required departmental competencies and certifications.
