Registered Nurse - RN - Pediatrics

Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized nursing care to children in a 24‑bed unit that cares for patients of all ages with acute and chronic diagnoses. The unit offers a variety of specialty programs including a sedation center, brain injury program, pediatric oncology program, and pediatric trauma program. A pediatric hospitalist is present 24/7 and Nurse Practitioners assist in patient care.

• Collaborate with inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized care.
• Care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up along the continuum of care.
• Plan and coordinate care, conduct patient assessment, provide patient education, triage, and perform various nursing interventions.
• Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and state regulations.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the state board of nursing where practice occurs; multistate licensure accepted if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
• Maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.

• Competitive salary range: $34.00 – $48.00 per hour.
