RN Navigator - Pediatric Surgery Clinic

Job Summary

Sanford Health's pediatric specialty clinic seeks an RN Navigator to support the Pediatric Surgery department. The role coordinates care for families and patients, ensuring timely treatment, education, and resources.

Work Shift:

8 Hours – Day Shifts

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00a.m.–5:00p.m., no weekends or holidays.

Compensation:
Salary $34–$51 per hour, Sign‑On Bonus $15,000 (qualified candidates).

• Coordinate and facilitate patient care across the continuum, including rooming patients for clinic visits.
• Assist with procedures performed in the clinic and provide hands‑on support to surgeons and staff.
• Ensure families receive education, resources, and support to meet their needs.
• Collaborate with pediatric surgeons, ancillary services, and outside facilities to enhance patient flow.
• Remove barriers to care, support families, and evaluate outcomes.
• Implement and monitor best practices, process improvements, and interdisciplinary communication.
• Serve as key link between providers, clinics, insurance, and outpatient services.
• Maintain professional relationships and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Use independent nursing judgment in all settings.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; required in specified locations.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with State Board of Nursing; multistate licensure acceptable in NLC states.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain department‑specific competencies and certifications.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Capability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Experience in pediatric or adolescent care is a plus.
