DO YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS?
  • Active North Dakota LPN license in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong documentation capabilities and attention to detail
  • Comprehensive understanding of the LPN scope of practice
  • Knowledge of infection control principles and patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Familiarity with pharmacological practices and nutritional guidelines relevant to patient care
WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A NURSE - LPN

In the capacity of Nurse - LPN, your day will commence with a briefing from correctional staff to ensure you are well‑informed about the patients under your care. You will collaborate closely with medical professionals to obtain necessary orders and deliver prescribed medications and treatments efficiently. Throughout your shift, you will be responsible for conducting vital sign checks, triaging officer intake screenings, and providing emergency first aid when required.

Maintaining meticulous documentation of patient care will be essential, as will assisting with educating patients regarding facility policies and discharge planning. You will adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection control procedures while also remaining proficient in pharmacology and therapeutic diets. Furthermore, this nursing role may encompass training new staff members and participating in educational sessions to enhance the overall quality of care within the facility.
