American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a Level 1 trauma acute care unit requiring prior travel experience and an ND or compact RN license.

• Work in a 32-bed inpatient Medical-Specialty unit within an acute care, Level 1 trauma hospital
• Care for adult medical/surgical patients including a wide variety of med/surg cases and some behavioral health admissions
• Private rooms each equipped with a bathroom/toilet and gait belt/walker for safe patient mobility
• Nurse to patient ratio is 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• Uses Epic EMR along with telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell equipment
• 12-hour shifts on a rotating Day/Night schedule with no fixed rotation pattern
• Every other weekend and holiday shift required
• Self-scheduling available, though schedule may be adjusted to balance unit staffing needs
• Float requirement to any Med/Surg unit across all 3 Fargo campuses as needed

• Active RN license (ND or Compact) required
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; candidates on their first travel assignment will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required

• Collaborate with interprofessional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Practice within full scope of nursing expertise using age and population specific standards
• Navy blue scrubs required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility will not be considered for this position
• Candidates residing between 60 and 80 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced local rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
