American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Cardiac RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in a large hospital setting and an active ND or compact RN license.

• Acute care Med/Surg Cardiac unit (6CD) within a Level 1 trauma hospital
• 32-bed unit with a patient population requiring medical-surgical and cardiac care
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1 on day shift and 5-6:1 on night shift
• Uses EPIC EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
• 12-hour shifts on a day/night rotating schedule, with rotation patterns varying by unit needs
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float required to any Med/Surg unit across all 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo
• No guaranteed self-scheduled days off outside of contracted schedule; shifts may be adjusted for unit balancing

• Active ND or Compact RN license required (willing to obtain accepted)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• NIHSS certification required or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds required
• Cardiac experience highly preferred but not required
• EPIC EMR experience required

• Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, nursing task completion, and medication administration
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Scrub color required:
  Navy Blue
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; those living 60-80 miles qualify for a reduced local rate
• Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
