American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a large, level 1 or 2 trauma center and an ND or compact RN license.

• Acute care setting on the 2W Med/Surg unit of a level 1 trauma center hospital
• 10-bed unit caring for general Med/Surg patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
• Uses Epic EMR, Accu Dose, bladder scanner, Phillips monitors, and telemetry equipment
• 12-hour shifts on a day/night rotation
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May float to any Med/Surg unit on any campus in Fargo as needed

• Active ND or compact state RN license required, or willing to obtain
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Experience in a larger hospital setting (250+ beds) with a level 2 or higher trauma center required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Recent completed travel experience required, ideally within the last year
• First-time travelers will not be considered

• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Practice within full scope of nursing expertise using age and population specific standards
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Local candidates within 80 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates living 61 to 80 miles from the facility are eligible at a local rate
• Previous employment history with the health system must be disclosed, and any prior employment must have ended at least 6 months before consideration
