American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a fast-paced 15-bed admissions unit requiring Level 1 trauma center experience and Epic proficiency.

• Acute care Level 1 trauma hospital setting on a 2A Admissions Med/Surg unit
• 15-bed unit with all private rooms serving general medical/surgical patients ready for discharge from the ER but not yet assigned to a specific unit
• Perform initial admissions and provide care until patients transfer to their permanent unit
• Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• Uses Epic EMR, Zebra phones for communication, Omnicell for medications, and Aleris IV pumps
• 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights  or )
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• No on-call requirements
• Float to other medical/surgical units as needed

• Active RN license (ND or Compact) required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment

• New medical/surgical unit with a fast-paced environment
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility qualify for a local travel rate
