Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Fargo, ND | Acute Care

Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical/surgical patients, including those experiencing behavioral disturbances, on a 32-bed inpatient Medical-Specialty unit
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age- and population-specific standards appropriate to the clinical setting
• Operate unit equipment including telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
• Float to any medical/surgical unit across all three Fargo campuses as needed to support unit balance

• Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state
• BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; candidates currently on their first travel assignment will not be considered
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living 60–80 miles from the facility may be subject to a local travel rate

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced inpatient medical/surgical environment
• Familiarity with Philips monitoring systems and telemetry
• Experience managing patients with behavioral health presentations in an acute care setting

• Work in a well-equipped, all-private-room unit with a structured and supportive scheduling process that minimizes frequent day/night rotations
• Gain diverse clinical exposure by floating across multiple medical/surgical units within a large, multi-campus health system
