Registered Nurse – Oncology

Fargo, ND | Acute Care – Inpatient Oncology

Contract | Day/Night Rotating Shifts | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday | No Call Required

• Provide care for medically complex hematology and oncology patients requiring blood products, antibiotics, and symptom/side effect management
• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments, administer medications, and manage patient care plans
• Communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and provide updates to patients and families
• Administer chemotherapy to eligible patients if appropriately trained and certified
• Utilize unit equipment including EPIC, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, and Zebra phones
• Float to other medical-surgical units and locations within the Fargo area as needed

• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma Center
• Active BLS certification – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• Active North Dakota RN license or compact state license (or willingness to obtain)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be subject to a local travel rate

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Inpatient oncology nursing experience
• Hematology and/or bone marrow transplant (BMT) experience

• Work within a structured inpatient oncology unit featuring favorable nurse-to-patient ratios (1:3 for chemotherapy/BMT patients) and a supportive team environment — no solo assignments and no on-call requirements
• Comprehensive orientation program including classroom and hands-on unit training to set you up for success
