Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Fargo, ND | Inpatient / Acute Care

Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required

• Provide inpatient nursing care to adult trauma, medical, and surgical patients across a 32-bed unit, including those with orthopedic trauma needs
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, deliver patient education, and execute clinical skills appropriate to a busy Medical Surgical setting
• Utilize EPIC for all electronic documentation and Acu Dose for medication management
• Float to Medical Surgical units across multiple locations within the Fargo area as needed based on unit census and staffing requirements
• Participate in self-scheduling while remaining flexible to unit balancing needs, including potential shift adjustments between days and nights based on unit demands

• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience in a large hospital setting (200+ beds)
• Active North Dakota RN License or Compact RN License
• Active BLS Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Willingness and ability to float to any Medical Surgical unit across multiple locations in Fargo as needed
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be subject to a local travel rate

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Experience working in a busy Level I Trauma Center environment

• Work within a Joint Commission-certified Hip Fracture Program at a high-acuity facility offering diverse clinical exposure across trauma, orthopedic, medical, and surgical patient populations
• Flexible self-scheduling model with unit leadership that is mindful of minimizing frequent day-to-night shift rotations for traveling clinicians
