Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Fargo, ND

Contract | 12-Hour Day/Night Rotating Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Holiday | Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical/surgical patients, including those experiencing behavioral disturbances, on a 32-bed inpatient Medical-Specialty unit
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age- and population-specific standards appropriate to the clinical setting
• Operate unit equipment including EMR (Epic), telemetry monitors, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell
• Float to other medical/surgical units across multiple campuses within the Fargo area as needed
• Adhere to facility badging requirements and maintain compliance with unit dress code (Navy Blue scrubs)

• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Level 1 trauma experience required; prior travel nursing experience required (candidates currently on their first travel assignment will not be considered)
• Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Willingness and ability to float to all medical/surgical units across multiple Fargo campuses as needed

• Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced inpatient hospital environments
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and Philips monitoring systems
• Experience caring for patients with behavioral health needs in a medical/surgical setting

• Work in a well-equipped, all-private-room unit with a structured and balanced approach to day/night rotation scheduling
