Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Fargo, North Dakota, 58102!

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Fargo, ND

Contract | 12-hour rotating shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients in a 47-bed unit with a 5:1 day shift and 6:1 night shift nurse-to-patient ratio
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age and population-specific standards appropriate to the assigned clinical setting
• Operate unit equipment including EMR (Epic), Accu Dose, Bladder Scanner, Philips monitors, and Telemetry
• Float to other Medical Surgical units across campuses as needed
• Complete orientation program including lead center training and preceptored shifts on the unit

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a larger hospital (200+ beds) at a Level 2 or higher trauma center
• Travel nursing experience required, unless candidate has extensive experience in a large Level 1 facility
• Active North Dakota RN license or compact state RN license (please specify state)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

• Experience working with Surgical Oncology patients
• Familiarity with Telemetry and Bladder Scanner equipment in a Medical Surgical setting

• Work in a structured, well-supported unit environment with a defined orientation program including preceptored shifts
• Opportunity to care for a diverse Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patient population in a high-acuity hospital setting
