Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Neuro

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring active ND or compact RN licensure and prior Level 1 trauma and med/surg experience.

• Active ND or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Experience in a large hospital setting (200+ beds) required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience with successful assignment completion required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Neuro patient experience preferred but not required

• Acute care Med/Surg Neuro unit (6AB) in a Level 1 trauma hospital
• 32-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4-5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• 12-hour weekend day shifts only, including every other holiday
• Floating required to any Med/Surg unit across all 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo
• Uses Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
• Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible, with reduced rate for those living 60-80 miles away
• Candidates within 80 miles of the facility are considered local with an adjusted pay rate
• Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
