Our client is a prominent, farmer-owned global leader in the agriculture and energy sectors. They are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to oversee food safety operations at their specialized processing facilities in Fargo.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for maintaining the highest standards of product integrity, ensuring that all food safety protocols align with both domestic and international regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Oversight:
Design, execute, and refine site-specific food safety initiatives and quality manuals. - Compliance Management:
Guarantee 100% adherence to FDA, HACCP, and GFSI (SQF) standards, as well as Kosher and Organic certifications. - Audit Leadership:
Direct internal monthly audits and serve as the primary point of contact for third-party and regulatory inspectors. - Team Development:
Supervise and mentor the quality department, managing everything from hiring and onboarding to performance reviews and technical training. - Strategic Partnership:
Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Sales to ensure quality standards support business growth and operational efficiency. - Corrective Actions:
Identify gaps in the production cycle and implement robust CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) to mitigate risk.
Candidate Requirements:
- Professional
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years in Quality Assurance or Quality Management, specifically within a food manufacturing or agricultural environment. - Leadership:
Proven track record of managing teams and advancing through progressively responsible leadership roles. - Technical Knowledge:
Deep expertise in HACCP, GMP, and GFSI systems. Experience with FDA regulations is essential. - Education:
High School Diploma/GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field is highly preferred. - Communication:
Exceptional ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable training for staff at all levels.
