Conduct Research
* Conduct hands-on wet-lab experiments related to projects on cardiac pathophysiology, electrophysiology, pancreatic cancer biology, human iPSC culture and differentiation, or related biomedical research areas. Collect, analyze, interpret, and organize experimental data.
* Maintain accurate laboratory records, protocols, reagent inventories, data files, and documentation required for research quality control and compliance.
* Assist with preparation of figures, reports, abstracts, manuscripts, presentations, and grant-related materials.
* Coordinate daily laboratory activities, including ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, preparing reagents, and supporting safe and compliant laboratory operations.
Training
* Train and provide technical guidance to undergraduate students, graduate students, or other laboratory personnel in established laboratory procedures as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the research mission of the laboratory.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, 12-month
Hiring Range: $45,000-$52,000
Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related field, and at least 3 years of relevant research experience
* Demonstrated hands-on experience in one of the following areas: cardiovascular research using rodent models, human iPSC culture and differentiation, cancer research, molecular cloning and protein purification.
* Ability to follow research protocols, troubleshoot experiments, maintain accurate records, and work independently.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree or above
* Demonstrated record of research productivity through peer-reviewed publications.
* Extensive hands-on experience in patch-clamp electrophysiology, demonstrated by relevant publications.
* Extensive hands-on experience in mouse cardiac surgery, including myocardial infarction (MI), transverse aortic constriction (TAC), or related procedures, demonstrated by publications.
* Extensive hands-on experience in de novo design of proteins using deep-learning based methods, demonstrated by publications.
Core Competencies:
Well-established sense of hypothesis-driven research and the ability to conduct research and solve problems independently.
