Job Details

Richland Jr/Sr HS is seeking applications for a Head Cook.

Hours:

6:30am-1:30pm on school days

Wage: $19/hour

Benefits: NDPERS retirement, portion of single health insurance, 5 sick days

Location:

Colfax, ND

Reports to:

Jr/Sr HS Principal

Job Goal:
Responsible for the preparation, serving, and clean-up of daily meals for Richland Jr/Sr HS by complying with all applicable sanitation and health standards and following food production programs and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation/Planning
    • Prepare nutritious food following health regulations and supervisor's direction.
    • Ensure that food remains at proper temperature.
  • Program Responsibility
    • Plan menus, order food and supplies.
    • Instruct and train staff as directed.
    • Follow safety and sanitation standards.
    • Ensure that all federal and state food service requirements are met.
    • Communicate and work directly with administration.
    • Attend in-services and workshops.
  • Serving
    • Greet students, staff, etc. in a prompt and courteous manner.
    • Serve food in a timely manner.
    • Serve food according to portion control requirements.
  • Record keeping/Reports
    • Maintain accurate and timely records.
    • Manage and stock inventory.

    • Knowledge of federal/state health/nutrition requirements.
