Overview

The primary focus of this position is to provide exceptional guest service by operating a cash register and assisting guests with a “Say Yes to the Guest” attitude. The employee is responsible for scanning, ringing and/or entering customer merchandise into the cash register, collecting customer payment and delivering appropriate change, bagging, and assisting customers with questions or concerns.

• Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently; collect money, checks, electronic payments, and coupons, provide correct change, and ensure safety of the cash drawer.
• Scan or ring items accurately and efficiently, key department numbers or UPCs, look up items that cannot be scanned, and weigh items.
• Assist guests with locating merchandise, answer questions and concerns, and bag guest merchandise as required.
