Sales Consultant in Training

Job Overview

Johnson Brothers is a family‑owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer that has delivered exceptional service since 1953. We are seeking a Sales Consultant in Training to support and maintain accounts in the Fargo area. The role includes stocking shelves, managing displays, following up on deliveries, and building relationships with retailers with the ultimate goal of developing a future sales territory.

• Travel around the assigned territory to service accounts.
• Check quantities of goods on display, verify cold box placements, inventory status, and service accounts.
• Fill shelves from displays and back stock to minimize out‑of‑stock items.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers.
• Communicate with Sales Representatives regarding buyer preferences, inventory issues, shelf space concerns, and other matters.
• Build trust and establish strong working relationships with retailers while upholding Johnson Brothers corporate values and delivering excellent customer service.
• Perform other work‑related tasks and special projects as assigned.

• Prior work experience in the liquor industry (e.g., bartender, wait staff, liquor store).
• Goal‑oriented and results‑driven.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
• Competitive, self‑motivated, and customer‑service oriented.
• Professional written and oral communication skills.
• Reliable transportation with valid insurance and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50‑pound cases frequently.
• Local candidates preferred; relocation not offered.
