POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Development Representative is primarily responsible for identifying, developing and increasing revenue and profitability with new and existing customers. As a business development representative, you will also be responsible for maintaining and strengthening client relationships and strategic partnerships to foster business growth. Additionally, you will drive the end-to-end sales process, collaborating closely with the sales team for seamless lead hand off and information sharing.

- Lead Generation and Prospecting: Utilize cold-calling, and networking events to generate new sales leads and increase revenue.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong client relationships through consistent communication, follow-ups, and fostering customer intimacy with potential and existing clients.
- Inbound and Internal Inquiry Response: Respond promptly and professionally to all inbound inquiries from internal and external sources to enhance responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Needs Assessment & Solution Development: Evaluate potential clients’ needs, budget, and decision-making processes; analyze customer use-cases and recommend tailored product solutions to maximize value.
- Opportunity Analysis & Revenue Maximization: Analyze all sales opportunities to maximize revenue with new and existing customers; proactively seek cross-sell and up-sell potential.

Collaboration:
Work in partnership with the sales team to nurture leads, facilitate smooth lead hand-offs, and provide insights that help close deals efficiently. - Sales Opportunity Tracking & Accountability: Track all sales opportunities, maintain accountability for progress through the sales pipeline, and ensure transparency in reporting to leadership.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Collect and analyze data on the company, competitors, pricing, products, and market trends; provide findings and actionable insights to leadership.
- Product Knowledge & Demonstration: Inform customers about new products, conduct product demonstrations as needed, and act as a subject matter resource.
- Quotation & Bidding: Oversee competitive bidding processes and follow up on quotations and proposals to customers for timely closure.
- Event & Trade Show Participation: Represent the company at trade shows and business development events; connect with customers, vendors, and company partners to grow the professional network.
- Interdepartmental
Collaboration:
Liaise with City Desk, Account Management, Warehouse, Purchasing, Operations, Accounting, and Marketing teams to ensure proper customer order fulfillment and support business objectives. - Process Compliance & Safety: Uphold and champion company compliance and safety standards in all activities.
- Company Advocacy: Promote Tenet's Mission, Vision, Values, and Employee Operating Code at all times.
- Task Management: Efficiently manage multiple responsibilities, delegate tasks appropriately, and ensure deadlines are met.
