Description & Details:

The NDSU College of Business is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to work on grant funded, community-oriented projects on social aspects of agricultural technology adoption. This position is funded through the NSF Engines:
North Dakota Advanced Agriculture Technology Engine award, supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation (award #2315315). This is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track appointment. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and continued availability of grant funding.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Research trust and social dynamics in ag technology adoption

* Engage communities and stakeholders through fieldwork

* Co-develop frameworks, tools, and workshops

* Collaborate across teams on innovation and workforce efforts

* Contribute to research outputs on social adoption dynamics

Work Schedule:

M-F 8 am to 5 pm

Hiring Range: $70,000 - $75,000 annually

Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Ph.D. in business, public policy, economics, psychology, communication, sociology, other social or behavioral sciences, land resources, agriculture, environmental sciences, or closely related field of study.

* Good record of oral presentations and written communication skills.

* Demonstrated record of successful collaborative work

* Possession or ability to obtain a valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience conducting field research with communities

* Experience conducting and writing up social research (e.g., interviews, coding, surveys, modeling, synthesis)

* Experience with using social research analytical tools and software

* Program evaluation and documentation skills

* Understanding of commercialization processes

* Experience with teaching, training, and/or workshop facilitation

Core Competencies:

* Demonstrated excellent written communication skills.

* Ability to independently lead research tasks, document progress, and contribute to final reports.
