Secure Space Technical and Physical Security Lead
Perform as a subject‑matter expert for Booz Allen’s security team specializing in ICD‑705, TEMPEST, and DoD secure space construction efforts. Collaborate in the planning, design, construction, and accreditation of secure spaces, including DoD Collateral Open Storage Areas, DoD Restricted Areas, SCIFs, and SAPFs. Partner with corporate leadership, market teams, program managers, and enterprise technology staff to capture or define secure space requirements and deliver solutions company‑wide.
Develop and deliver resources to educate staff on secure space security requirements or construction methods and address construction challenges.
- Lead the creation and standardization of resources to support build and accreditation processes for secure spaces.
- Collaborate on the planning, design, construction, and accreditation efforts of secure spaces per ICD‑705, 32
CFR Part
117, and DoD standards. - Assist security team members with documentation requirements, including pre‑construction documentation, Construction Security Plans, Fixed Facility checklists, and other necessary documentation for SCIF, SAPF, and Open Storage construction approvals.
- Serve as liaison with DoD and Intelligence Community counterparts to stay informed of changing requirements, convey needs, and facilitate construction or accreditation efforts.
- Support proposal teams by interpreting space needs and proposing available solutions.
- Perform a wide range of security functions to protect company and government sensitive and classified information.
- 10+ years of experience with industrial security or secure space construction.
- Knowledge of ICD
705, TEMPEST standards for building and accrediting secure spaces, and 32
CFR Part
117 for DoD collateral spaces. - Understanding of the construction project management lifecycle.
- Ability to provide technical review of construction drawings against government security standards or best practices.
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence decision‑making while partnering with stakeholders at various functions and levels.
- Team‑oriented, prioritizing, and multi‑tasking ability with focus on simplifying complex workflows.
- Experience driving or supporting transformational changes to increase efficiencies within secure space request, justification, and construction projects.
- Ability to travel to CONUS locations up to 25% of the time.
- Top Secret clearance required.
- HS diploma or GED (minimum educational requirement).
- Knowledge of security hardware, GSA security containers, access control, intrusion detection systems, and multiple aspects of physical security.
- Familiarity with construction methods, costs, timelines, network infrastructure, and approval processes for specific secure spaces.
- Experience developing staff for Site Security Manager (SSM) roles and conveying responsibilities.
- Ability to provide ongoing technical support and onsite assessments during construction phases to ensure compliance with government security standards.
- Strong judgment and ability to recommend cost‑saving measures that meet government standards for secure space construction security requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). The range is determined by factors such as location, education, skills, and experience.
