FB Timberline is seeking an experienced construction Heavy Equipment Operator (Full time, Permanent) to support various projects across North and South Carolina. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of equipment and daily maintenance checks. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include: telehandlers, mini excavators, skid steer, loaders, forklift and other pieces of equipment.
The Heavy Equipment Operator must also inspect, clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies, and procedures.

- Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Clean and maintain heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
- Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
- Advise the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
- Ensuring documentation for equipment is up to date as per daily check
- Participate in routine maintenance
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
- Assist with other tasks and functions assigned to this role as required
- Minimum three (3) years' experience operating equipment (skid steer, forklift, back hoe), is required
- CDL license or willingness to obtain one, is preferred
- Experience with the following equipment considered an asset
- Quick detach loaders
- Vibro-Hammer
- Lo Dril
- Able and willing to travel to various locations as required and work in varying weather conditions and/or environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management, employees and clients
- Ability to work independently with little direction and with a sense of ownership and personal commitment to a culture of zero injury/occupational illness
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment leveraging excellence in time management
- Able and willing to provide an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
