Job Summary
We are hiring LICENSED Commercial Electricians for a large commercial project starting in a few weeks (Mid April). This project will be long‑term, 1.5–2 years. Overtime and per diem will be available for anyone traveling from outside Cedar Rapids, IA.
SalaryPay rate is based on electrical experience and skillset.

Duties (including but not limited to)- Experience working with 110–480 V single and three‑phase systems
- Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and running ½″, ¾″ and 1″ conduit (EMT, Rigid, and PVC)
- Terminating, running, and installing MC cable
- Wire‑pulling
- Reading blueprints
- Operating large pipe bending tools, both hydraulic and mechanical benders
- Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components
- Tracing out short circuits in wiring using a test meter
- Trim‑outs (installing receptacles, switches and other devices)
- Repairing or replacing wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Hanging and wiring light fixtures
- Drilling holes and pulling wire/cable through walls and ceilings
- Examining electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tightening connections
- Disassembling defective electrical equipment, replacing defective or worn parts, and reassembling equipment
- Stripping insulation from wire ends, connecting couplings, fabricating and securing conduit support brackets
- Transporting tools, materials, equipment, and supplies on the job site by hand or hand truck
- Terminating circuits, breakers, bus bars, panels, and sub‑panels
- Operating scissor lifts
Job Requirements
- Must have your electrical license for the state of Iowa. Reciprocal states (TX, AR, CO, MN, MO, NE, NH, ND, WI, WY) will work, but you must have started that process well before the project starts. Contractor will reimburse fees for reciprocating your license.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen before starting work.
