The Commercial Roofing Service Lead is responsible for managing and executing maintenance, repair, and service work on commercial roofing systems. This role includes supervising a team, coordinating with clients, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and promoting a positive safety culture on all job sites. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, technical expertise in commercial roofing systems, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a team in completing commercial roofing service, repair, and maintenance projects.
- Inspect roofs to assess damage or maintenance needs and determine appropriate solutions.
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Coordinate with clients and project managers to schedule and execute work effectively.
- Oversee and verify the quality of completed work, ensuring compliance with codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Train and mentor crew members, fostering skill development and safety awareness.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, service reports, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and provide recommendations to management.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment required for service calls.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls as needed.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial roofing service, repair, or installation.
- Proven experience supervising or leading roofing teams in a commercial setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including but not limited to TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, and Built-Up Roofing.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Basic digital literacy for documenting projects and communicating with management.
- OSHA 10 or 30 Hour Certification.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
