Excavator Operator

Join our growing construction team at Border States Paving in Fargo! We are seeking an experienced and dependable Excavator Operator to work on a variety of heavy civil and site construction projects. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform trenching, grading, digging, loading, and site preparation
• Read grade stakes, plans, and utility markings
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Work closely with foremen, laborers, and project managers
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Assist with general site work as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous excavator operating experience required
• Experience in underground utilities, earthwork, or road construction preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred
• Strong work ethic and attendance record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor when needed
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
• Must be able to work flexible hours

Excellent wages ($34.00-$35.00 per hour) and $22.45 per hour fringe (goes towards health insurance premiums paid 100% & pension). Minorities, women, veterans, and the disabled are encouraged to apply. EOE/AAP
