Trailer Shop Mechanic

Inland Truck Parts & Service is looking to hire a technician for our Trailer Shop. With over 80 years of business and 37 locations, we offer clean, well-equipped, and ventilated facilities that provide plenty of opportunities to develop your skills. Our facility in Fargo is unlike anything you've seen before and we'd love to show you around.

Work schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00-5:00, no nights or weekends

The position will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing utility, semi-flatbed, enclosed, or commercial cargo trailers to keep them safe and roadworthy

• Inspections & Compliance
  :
  Perform DOT and safety compliance inspections on brakes, lights, and structural frames.

• Brakes & Axles
  :
  Reline or replace brake shoes, drums, slack adjusters, air/hydraulic lines, wheel bearings, hubs, and seals.

• Electrical Systems
  :
  Repair or replace 7-way plugs, wiring harnesses, clearance lights, stop/turn signals, and ABS electrical modules.

• Suspension & Frame
  :
  Repair or swap leaf springs, equalizers, hangers, air bags, and alignment components.

• Welding & Fabrication
  :
  Patch or weld cracked crossmembers, rub rails, landing gear, hitch mounts, and structural paneling using MIG/stick or torch equipment.

• Body & Roof
  :
  Fix or replace wooden/aluminum trailer flooring, roof panels, nose boxes, cargo doors, and door hinges

Preference given to candidates who are self-motivated, detail oriented
, have 1 year of experience, strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new skills quickly, and a desire for career advancement.
