THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS EQUIPMENT OPERATING SPECIALIST - HIGHWAY OPERATOREvery day brings new challenges and opportunities to keep Cass County running smoothly. As a Highway Equipment Operator, you'll:
- Inspect and maintain heavy equipment before each shift
- Perform routine road maintenance and ditch mowing
- Operate snowplows, backhoes, dozers, and motor graders
- Respond to weather events and emergencies with quick action
- Assist with manual labor for bridge and road repairs
- Help identify needed equipment repairs and improvements
You will also work four 10-hour shifts during the weeks of the spring and fall seasons
.
- 1+ years of experience in operating heavy equipment
- Ability to take orders and resolve any problems
- Knowledge of construction equipment and the materials used
- Heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Class A license
