YourResponsibilities
- Client Network // Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, providing excellent service and accurate information about shipment status.
- Carrier Development // Source, onboard, and manage carriers to ensure dependable transportation solutions.
- Negotiation // Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and optimize margins while maintaining service quality.
- Load Management // Post, book, and track freight loads from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery.
- Documentation // Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, contracts, and invoices accurately.
- Problem Solving // Resolve transportation issues quickly, such as delays, equipment shortages, or customer concerns.
- Communication // Excellent verbal and written skills to collaborate with shippers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Negotiation // Ability to secure favorable rates and resolve conflicts to drive profitability.
- Sales Mindset // Strong ability to grow and maintain a book of business through proactive outreach and client engagement.
- Problem‑Solving // Resourcefulness in managing unexpected issues and adapting to changing freight conditions.
- Independent // Demonstrable ability to work within a team environment with limited supervision while driving results.
- Organizational Skills // Capable of balancing multiple shipments, carriers, and clients simultaneously.
- Technology // Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), load boards, and Microsoft Office tools.
An Associate’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, and at least one (1) year of experience in freight brokering, dispatching, or transportation logistics. Equivalent experience without a degree will also be considered.
- Transportation Knowledge // Familiarity with freight markets, modes, and transportation regulations.
- Brokerage Experience // Proven track record of booking loads and managing carrier relationships.
- Compliance // Ability to ensure adherence to FMCSA and DOT guidelines.
- Industry Experience // Two (2) – three (3) years of successful freight brokering or logistics sales experience, preferably within flatbed trucking.
- Carrier Network // Existing relationships with a strong base of carriers.
- Advanced Sales Skills // Demonstrated ability to consistently grow a client portfolio.
- Salary // Pay will be decided based on experience.
- Schedule // Full-Time;
On-Site;
Monday - Friday;
Standard business hours with occasional flexibility as needed.
