NDDOT Temporary Equipment Operator II Salary: $27.11/hour
NDDOT Temporary Equipment Operator I Salary: $24.01/hour
There are 2 positions within this posting, one in Fargo South and one in Fargo North.
Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment to perform required maintenance duties such as basic snow and ice control and removal.
- Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining highway signs and guardrails.
- Operate power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance duties.
- Keep roadways clear of hazards including litter, waste, debris, garbage, and carcasses.
- Complete building and ground maintenance duties and general routine maintenance of the roadway and radio system equipment.
- Perform minor preventive and repair maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain necessary paperwork, including time records, activity reporting, daily diary, road reports, etc.
- Receive training and perform construction project duties under close supervision.
- Valid North Dakota Class A driver license with airbrakes and a cargo tank endorsement and at least two years of relevant experience (Temporary Equipment Operator II).
- Valid North Dakota Class B driver license without airbrake restrictions (Temporary Equipment Operator I).
- Ability to report to work within 30 minutes, after hours, on weekends, and on holidays during emergency events.
- Successful completion of interview process, drug test, medical screening, reference check, driver record check, and federal clearinghouse query screening.
